Finding Your Ground

When the ground has shifted.

You're here...

And if something brought you to this page, I'm willing to guess that something in your life has changed - in a way you didn't fully choose, or didn't fully see coming.

Maybe a career. Maybe an identity you'd been building for years. Maybe the version of yourself you thought you were becoming.

And now the ground beneath all of that feels... different.

I created journal prompts exactly for this passage.

These are honest questions, written for the specific grief of losing an identity, personal or professional. And for what becomes possible once you stop trying to rebuild the old one.

This stretch has a lot of names — the gap, the threshold, the messy middle. Whatever you call it, the instinct is to rush through it, reaching for solid ground before you've even let go of what you're leaving.

These prompts ask you to slow down instead. Let the middle be exactly what it is. That's usually how you find what to steady on.

These five free prompts are the first steps of Reclamation, a small space to remember who you are beneath the roles

I wrote them to help you find your footing, even while the ground beneath you shifts.
